EX71SL or EX51LP

right now im lookign at these earphones and im not sure what the diff between them is other than their price and the cord. so if anyones knows if they are actually different tell me and tell me witch one is better

The material used for the casing on each is different. The EX71 has a softer feel because a lot of it is rubber. The EX51 is constructed using more plastic and has in (very) isolated incidents caused discomfort.

so theres no difference in sound quality the only difference is in the construction of the headphone

Yep, I used to own both of them, and I couldn't tell the difference between the two when I ABed.

They both have the same sound "quality," if you can call it that.

The EX71s are generally more comfortable, but you also have to use an extension cord with them, unlike the EX51s.

I wouldn't buy either one of them. Look into the Sharp MD33s if you really must purchase a cheap ear bud.

There's not much difference there either. If you have a remote to use with your portable, get the 71s. The short cord is REALLY handy with a remote.
