can anyone remember what isolation rating is fort he ex70's ( in Db ) or o\if hey can compare the isolation of the ex70 to the DT770.
Also anyone ever tried the Dt770's on a plane or train, dot hey cut out much noise

EX70 offers around 10-15dB isolation. I believe my DT-831 isolated better, but I dont remember...

The DT 770's specs say 16 or 18 dB of isolation. When I listen with them, I cannot hear the telephone on my desk ring. I used them with the headphone jack in the armrest of one of those fast German ICE-trains once, and I couldn't hear a thing from the outside (including from inside the car). But I guess canal-phones can have even higher isolation than 18dB. I don't have to commute. So I can't say too much about this practicality issue.
