Like title says , i used to have the dt990 600 ohm driven by schiit lyrr2 and bifrost dac. I loved it ! Im not a good audio crack head but it sounded really good in games and movie.. And enjoy listening to some flac music. But it got stolen...

Now i want to rebuild a new setup but dont think i can afford buying lyrr and befrost back .. The first unit i had was sold cheap to me from a friend ..

So here is my question. Can i get a similar quality sound buying entry lvl schiit amp and the 32 ohm dt990 ? Why 32 ohm.. Well because i may be tempted to use the dt990 on my laptop at work.. Or with my cell phones.

The DT990 32-Ohm is not considered to do it best unless used with a decent headphone amplifier.
You could get a FiiO Q1 USB-DAC-amp, can be used as a DAC/amp with any PC or Mac,
or as an amplifier only with a smart phone.
 
I've heard the 30-Ohm Philips Fidelio X1 or X2 sound somewhat like a DT990.

ok but once amplified , does the 32 ohm sound the same/similar as the 600 ohm ? or not at all !??
 
was tempted to try the dt770 pro 80ohm too , heard they have good bass and can do well for game and film
