Growl, growl. They're going to begin charging a criminal $30/yr for POP3 access to e-mail accounts on Yahoo.

Cheapwad that I am, I'm hunting for alternatives. Anyone aware of a reliable, fast, and free POP3 service with a domain name that isn't too ugly?

I've had luck with softhome (www.softhome.net). If you use a Mac, Apple's iTools service would be even better. I'm sure there are others out there...

Take a close look at Yahoo "web beacons". They are monitoring your web usage and planning ondeluging you with email. Look at their privacy page.
