I've seen The Way of the Gun. I thought it was great. But not one of my favorites.

Nice choice; some of the better firearm sound effects I've heard through film. The last scene in the courtyard was one of the more visceral moments I can remember in cinema. McQuarrie is a good director for fleshing out the dirty and sublime in us.

By the OP's lead, for today I'll say:

Action: The Bourne Identity
Thriller: Vertigo
Fantasy: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (orginal)
Comedy: A Fish Called Wanda
Horror: Rosemary's Baby

Action: Hard Boiled
Thriller: Silence of the Lambs
Fantasy: Star Wars (Ended well. The Alliance won, Luke got the girl, Han got the money, Darth Vader got lost in space. Then Lucas just had to go on...)
Drama: The Deer Hunter
Horror: 28 Days Later

I liked Hostel, but I wouldn't say it is the only good horror movie. Some recent horror movies that I thought were better were Decent and High Tension. The Shining is still the most psychologically disturbing movie I've seen. I guess my picks would be:

Das Boot
Fargo
To Kill a Mocking Bird
Blade Runner
The Shining

There is a difference between horror & gore.. I found hostile to be very disturbing, but there was nothing scary about it.

1. Aliens
2. Titanic
3. T2
4. NOTLD
5. Shining
