What kind upgrade did they offered ?They will offer the same upgrade program that they offered when they released the DMPA8 and DMPA 10.
Definitely taking advantage of it
Thanks!

And how did that work? They will offer the same upgrade program that they offered when they released the DMPA8 and DMPA 10.
Sorry boys, I should have been more clear. They offered no upgrade at all. The usual, sell the old one, buy the new one plan. What kind upgrade did they offered ?
Definitely taking advantage of it

I think there is a screen improvement too? I'm in the market for this as a transport. Was looking at a DMP 10, but I don't need all those features. This Gen 2 would do nicely. Would like to see the back.
The only real update is the power supply which makes propably quite a difference, showing they used a lps in the a8 and a dual in de a10.Key Features of the everSOLO DMP-A6 Gen 2, announced:
• Fully balanced circuit architecture for pure, low-distortion audio output.
• HDMI ARC support for seamless integration with home theater systems.
• HDMI multi-channel support, including DSD Native and up to 5.1-channel output.
• Wake-on-LAN (WOL) for remote control anytime, anywhere.
• XMOS XU316 audio interface for effortless decoding of high-resolution audio sources.
• Dual ES9038Q2M DAC chips with master-level tuning, ensuring precise reproduction of every musical detail.
• Proprietary EOS audio engine to unlock the full potential of sound quality.
• Ultra-low-noise (40uV) linear power supply for crystal-clear audio.
• Advanced app control for intuitive and convenient music management.
• HDMI Trigger for synchronized on/off with connected devices.
• Integrated support for major music platforms and third-party apps with high-resolution direct output.
So, it seems to be largely a minor upgrade mostly with features that arguably should have been included from the outset, such as WOL and ARC. The rest seems the same, such as Dual ES9038Q2M, XMOS XU316, HDMI multi-channel support, apart from e.g. Ultra-low-noise (40uV) linear power supply, which is of dubious value given it already measures as audibly transparent. So far, it doesn't appear to be warrant a "Gen 2" designation, IMHO. I was hoping at least for analogue/ADC in; all-input processing for EQ and RC. Maybe they're saving the best for last.
Agreed. Gen 1 with LPS is the way, especially if someone only using the A6 as a streamer. Gen 2 is only worth it if you don't have gen 1 and want to use it's DAC section too.The only real update is the power supply which makes propably quite a difference, showing they used a lps in the a8 and a dual in de a10.
Also the lhy-lps a6 update has many fans, because it makes a huge difference. So I would rather advice a lhy-lps psu update then buying a gen2 a6.

We still don't know the price though, do we?
Alright. So, it is roughly the same price as the gen 1 now. Depending on how much one can get for a gen1 A6 on the second-hand market, it could actually be cheaper to go down that upgrade route instead of adding an aftermarket LPS. Of course, I expect gen1 prices to drop heavily, once dealers get their hands on gen2 shipments.
A Roon Core would be coolI wonder, if this will be a standalone streamer? That would make a lot of sense!
