Ever tried this for extra isolation?

Has anyone ever tried using iems in conjunction with ear muffs for extra isolation? Would be a good idea especially for winter when your ears could use a bit of warmth.

Have you? I see that you are yet to own any IEMs

You're right. Sorry to neglect mentioning that I haven't yet owned an iem. I was just curious of whether using ear muffs will add some isolation, so I started the thread. =)

For a laugh, I tried this once using IEMs and sound-deadening 'headphones' (the safety gear things). Very quiet in there...the 'proofers were bright orange tho. Looked like I was listening to Satsumas (little known Japanese headphone brand).

It would probably add a bit of isolation, but I use closed full-sized out shoveling. [IMG]

EDIT: 'sconsin buddies! Are you going to the Kenosha meet?
