Has anyone ever tried using iems in conjunction with ear muffs for extra isolation? Would be a good idea especially for winter when your ears could use a bit of warmth.

You're right. Sorry to neglect mentioning that I haven't yet owned an iem. I was just curious of whether using ear muffs will add some isolation, so I started the thread. =)

For a laugh, I tried this once using IEMs and sound-deadening 'headphones' (the safety gear things). Very quiet in there...the 'proofers were bright orange tho. Looked like I was listening to Satsumas (little known Japanese headphone brand).

It would probably add a bit of isolation, but I use closed full-sized out shoveling.

Nice! I would like to shovel with a pair of iem + muffs. Hahaha Btw, what kenosha meet??? I live in Racine - not far away. I want to attend. Can you give me more info?
