I got 6 OPA637BP opamps for $5 off ebay a year ago. That's like $240.00 worth of amp chips. Actually I'm listening to them right now in my headphone amp.

Some intense DIY subwoofer builders on that site, and the termpro.com forum... Lots of TC sounds motors and eminence cast baskets on fire!!!

I always wanted to have a complete nakamichi series 7, and the only way to get them is hunting used.

Got cr7 deck first ($$), the ca7a preamp later, bundled with useless B&W center ($$$) - and much later on, with huge effort going back and forth out of town, pa7ii power amp ($$$$$$). Relative to my thin wallet, of course.

Now, st7 tuner is a completely different story, almost nobody use good or "hi end" tuner around here. Since that was pre-ebay time, I found a used one ($$$) from a store in connecticut area and have it shipped to my friend in NYC. And waited for a year before he has time to go to post office.

Also, the more popular nak cdp locally was original oms7, easily die with no laser parts available. Bought two units and found out they're beyond repair.

One day I browsed past flea shops that sell mainly car audio stuff, and there were stacked shiny black st7 *and* working oms7a ... and seller only asked $100 for both ! Almost fainted ... very difficult to keep a straight face !! I had some other good bargains but this one is completely over the top.

And um, thanks for the space to share that unforgettable moment ...
