Was perusing some old Radio Shack catalogs over at radioshackcatalogs.com and found this in the 1949 catalog.

I wish Radio Shack still sells good audio equipments. Too bad they are too busy trying to compete with bigger retailers by selling smartphones and stuffs these days...

As s side note, back in 1957, the catalog included Ampex 350 professional tape recorders. A two track model sold for $1,953. That's about $16,000 in 2013 dollars.
