What has been the groups experience with the life of the green filters? Is it a gradual degradation or sudden? I plan on buying the 4s in the near future. I travel and wonder if a spare set is something I should carry. Thamks

Gradual degradation, and you'll probably need to change them every year or so, maybe half a year, depends...

It depends...for example maybe your ears don't adjust well to Ety's or you are just shoving your Ety's into a bunch of excess earwax. It can create a situation requiring a sudden swap of filters.

For long time veteran users of Ety's whose ears are problem free, it should be a very slow degradation to the point you really don't worry about it til you decide to swap just because you forgot when you last swapped em.
