I am thinking about getting either the ER-6 or the Beyerdynamics DT931. Not sure which, but the ER-6 doesn't require an headphone amp when used with a portable CD player which is a big bonus for me. I actually was wondering which would sound better in general.

BTW, the 50% better than this and vice versa doesn't add up. If er-4 is 50% better then er-6 is 2/3 as good as er-4. Or if er-6 is 50% as good as er-6, then er-4 is twice as good as er-6. Sorry, but that is just a pet peeve I have and ignore this stupid paragraph.
