I didn´t find any post for this one, so I decided to start a new one for posting impressions on this model.

Headphone time starts for me.

Waiting a new Phobos 2021 version to be paired with my Danfrips Ares II and XI Audio Boradway, so warm sources. Let´s see in the incoming days what this Planar Magnetic Tier from Erzetich is abble to.

How are you enjoying the Phobos?
I’m curious to hear more feedback on them.

They seem interesting, but I’m a little concerned by their weight for long term listening enjoyment and roll off in the sub-bass. I’ll be using an R2R DAC, that might be said t be touch on the warm side too.

No problem with long listening sessions, are very confortable.
Low end and mid bass are the best I have never heard on an Headphone.

They look good. But I’m kind of sorry they didn’t stick with the more rustic character of the first versions.. but it seems the feedback wasn’t great on those. Sadness.

Had the chance to try them a few days ago. They are very comfortable and weight isn't a problem at all, in fact, the fit way better than loads of lighter headphones that I've tried.
The bass is very good in terms of quality and quantity in the midbass, very punchy and satisfying, but if you are looking for subass, you won't find too much. It has a big roll off and unless you want to EQ (they take EQ very good), Id look for something else if you listen to subass heavy music.

Thanks Tano — appreciate the feedback :)

Glad to hear that most people don’t seem to find the weight to be a problem.

I’m not exactly a bass-head, playing much, much more acoustic material than electronica.. but like most, I imagine, I do feel the need for it at times.

We can’t always have everything.. Whilst there is EQ, I’d rather avoid it .. but good to know you’ve had success with it.

Hello vegan buddy, these HP are very detailed and vivid, listening to Jazz I had the impression that I was there and listened to live music. Bass is well controlled and tightened, but it does not go down as low as, for example, Pioneer Master.
I have a Forza Audio cable, which I used for Audeze, so it's hard to say what would be better suited because I have no comparison.
