I make backup copies of all of my cd's onto cd-r's. My car recently got broken into and about 50 of my original cd's got stolen. I used a standalone player to make direct copies of my cd's.

My question is, is it AT ALL beneficial to use error-correction on itunes if the original copy was scratched, but the my backup copy is perfect. Me thinks that error correction would have only been helpful during the standalone cd burners' burning process, but I thought I would get your opinion before proceeding.
