That might be a bit of a stretch. The 27 heater draws 1.75A at 2.5V. So 3.5A for the pair. I use an external heater power supply in the Glenn.

Just got my Tungsram EZ81 NOS Full-wave Rectifier much better than the stock rectifier this one is less saggier than the original, sharper, must cope better with power demands In its design. It’s not much difference but I noticed it.

Mr Trev, I'm on triode mode all the time for planars or dynamic headphones. To give you an idea of the power of Ultimate. It's more powerful than Oblivion. My friends @xtiva and @gzbaga were here again yesterday and that's what they told me after hearing the headphones from Ultimate and Oblivion.

At this point my preference are Susvara > HD800 > LCD5. I'll give my reasons later.

Decisions, decisions for Bryant. Gold Switchcraft 1/4" jack in the yellow spot? I think it will look nice. The amp is coming along nicely. Now I am having second thoughts about changing to a gold chassis with teflon sockets but black chassis will look just as good.

That is your preference but some of us will put up with a black dot in a sea of gold for the sake of ergonomics.
