I found image x10s for 200$ i`m willing to pay that for those or something else high end but not regular priced IEMs that arent that much better. Also i found custom 3s for 150$ and that is looking prettey good. But should i go for custom 3s or HF5, and if i do decide to pay 200$ are the x10s any good anyway?

member - yes, the HF5 and Custom 3 he's looking at are $150 and $160 (I assume USD anyway but thats still the general range/league/tier etc)

joe - many people put the X10 on the same tier/level as the SE530 FWIW. They also are known as the most comfortable IEM if not tied for it.

I can get the x10s for 200 but the SE530 are around 270$ thats over budget. Thanks

If i dont end up with the x10s which have a better warmer overall sound quality the Custom 3s or HF5?

Joe18, if you want warmer sound signature I would go with the Custom 3s.
I got my Custom 3s last week for 160 from Amazon and have been growing my love for them. Bass is really really nice, punchy and tight. I'm sure you'll miss the quality of the bass of the HF5 (this might be biased since Ive only heard the HF5 once, but that's just the sound signature of Etymotic's).
I had a fit problem at first. I used to lose seal easily when opening my mouth. But since then using the double-flanged tip, problem's been solved. The 'phones stay sealed in my ears no matter what I do

My only complain is the cord. It seems to me like the cord is a memory cord itself, sorta annoying but I can live with it. Putting these on and off might take a bit longer than usual. If these problems are no deal-breakers for you than I would highly recommend the Custom 3. Also consider the Image X10. They have the similar sound quality with the Custom 3 and offer much more comfort.

I didnt mean to suggest the SE530, I meant the X10 is often compared to the SE530 to give you an idea what level of IEM it is. Between Custom 3 and HF5, the Custom 3 will be warmer, but the HF5 will probably have some nicer detail somewhere in there.
