First, I have some slight hearing damage from listening to music a bit too loud when I was younger.
Second, I never listen to music loudly with headphones anymore. Just as loud as I need too, so I can hear it clearly.
Third, I really like the er-6 sound. They're perfect, even the bass.
Fourth, I listen to music mainly while on public transportation or walking in the city. Since I don't want to hurt my ears from playing too loud, I need ety/shure style in ear phones.
Unfortunately my tinnuitis has been acting up after listening to my etys. Do I have to give up on headphones? Should I turn down the high frequency sounds in the equalizer? Or should I try a pair of Shure's?
If I go the Shure route, would I be better off with the e2c or e3c? Maybe the smaller dynamic range of the e2c will be better?
By the way I use ptunes on a treo 600 as my mp3 player.
Thanks.
