Thanks to all of you for your responses. The new IEMs are now on their way, and I can't wait to get them!

The earwax subject is touchy with me, too... Actually, I think I'm so germ conscious that I wouldn't even let anyone else use their own tips on my earphones. I just want nothing to do with other people's cerumen

Seriously, the Etys have those filters in them, so even if someone else uses their own tips, you're still going to end up walking around with foreign earwax inside your head, albeit trapped in a filter. Still gross!
