I plan to purchase one of the two within the next month or so. However I don't know which. My ears have changed a lot since I got my Triple.fi's. I used to like my Shure Se530 earphones for their massive bass. Now, however I love the Triple.fi's because of their added clarity and airier spacier sound. As I understand it the Ety's are about the clearest most hyperdetailed earphones in existence. On the other hand the Livewires are said to be the "best" sounding customs for their price. I guess my question is this. For me being a person who likes clarity but still likes a little bass punch which earphones would be better for me? I kinda like the idea of having customs because of the fit.

I have no doubt that the livewires have more overall bass than er-4p, but the bass of the latter is just so tight and concise- I love it.
