Im considering buying the er-4p headphones, and noticed that the etymotic website shows them in black now instead of the blue/red. Personally I like the styling of the red/blue better, but has there been any other upgrades other than the color? If the black ones are better, I would obviously rather get those, but if they are the exact same, i'll pick up some red/blue ones.

In case anybody is wondering, amazon seems to have the black ones and bhphotovideo appears to have the red/blue ones.

I did a search and couldn't find anything, but if there is already a thread discussing this, a link would be appreciated.

No difference, Etymotic ER4P has been all black for a few years now. The ER4S is still red/blue. So when ordering make sure on the model before placing the order.

Thanks for the quick response. I assume that means it's been sitting on a shelf for a couple years. I guess that shouldn't be a problem.
