Hi everybody,

I listen to various genres of music and was wondering, is there a small equalizer hardware for a headphone set-up so that I can change equalizer settings manually? There is an equalizer built into my CD player, but it only offers pre-set settings (Jazz, R&B, Pop, etc.).

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The budget is AU$200 (about US$150). I may pay extra if something tempts me that much

, but unless there's a EXTREMELY good one for just over my budget, I doubt

I will spend more.

I'm thinking you'd want a graphic EQ, something like this one:

It costs around $150 or there is a 31-band version for $200:

See other EQs at Musicians Friend where I got the images from.

There are some less expensive Behringer EQs but from my experience with these, it's worth the extra money for the dbx for the better build quality.
