Like Jeff, while I didn't think Ep1 was that great, I wasn't as disappointed in it as some others -- I found the background info and political discussion to be the most interesting part.
But since I was actually old enough to see the original in the theater (several times), I'm sucked into the saga for life, for better or for worse
