Someone in a previous post mentioned that "epic" probably means different things to different people.  When I think of an epic song, it's usually long without ever getting boring, complex, engaging, dynamic, and with lots of ear candy.  Something that I rarely if ever grow tired of.  Some examples that I haven't seen in the previous posts:
