Enya + HD580 + Millet = WOW!!!

WOW!! I cant believe what I'm hearing!! Such depth, rich vocal textures and spatial image.

Such a fun / enjoyable diversion from my prog rock and Grados.

HD580s are indeed outstanding "new age" cans, although I think my favorite by far for this genre (out of what I've heard) are AKG K501s.

Edit -- isn't HD580 + Millet a little "too" warm sounding? Well maybe not...

Thats what I would have thought too??? Its warm... in a good / fun kind of way. I think my preferences tend to favor "fun" over accurate, so... thats probably whats going on more than anything else.

I love my Millet+580's. I have sold DT990pros and Grado 325i's, over this combo. I have the K501's at the moment, they will be the next to go along with the PIMETA. 580's + Millet rules. If you can manage to shove a DAC AH in there it gets a little better.

As serendipity would have it I was listening to Enya when I saw this post!
