That is cool, well no worries then, I guess. I would always test any amp you're going to use it with in unbalanced mode, just to be usre.

I finally made some longer cables. Balanced is great, it rejects nearly all computer noise. And these are the noises at the highest volume that would blow out my ear drums if I was playing any music.
