HI All,
Been researching potential OPAMP and Cap Mods for teh EMU 0404 USB. Can someone confirm that the 1/4" Line out of the 0404 is unamped? It appears all teh discussion of the OPAMP upgrade is centered around the jrc 2114 that goes to the headphone output.

Additionally are there any caps connected to the Line outs that could be replaced? I'm assuming besides that teh only other upgrade for the Lin outs would be to change out the connectors to some high end ones?

I'm pretty green when it comes to modification, so I can only relate others' experiences.

In most cases where there are output capacitors in the audio path, the ideal modification is to remove them and jumper the positions. In order to be sure that you can do this, you'll need to measure the DC offset values of each channel to ensure that downstream components won't be fed any major DC, since the output capacitors would have normalized this offset.
