I was browsing through the unofficial EMU forums and came accross a post linking to this, which says that the 1.71 release of the 0404's drivers (due out in December) will add 24/192 capability to the 0404. It seems that the 0404 has been hardware-capable of 24/192, but it was just not enabled in the software. I guess that they were waiting until they could get 88.2 and 176.4KHz working on the 1212m so it still had an advantage over the 0404.

Yes the 0404 has 192khz hardware built in. I though it was rather strange it didn't have 192khz from the start. I guess emu is really cranking on some of their software and drivers

Too bad the rest of creative isn't the same.

That's awesome! Now there's practically no reason at all to get the 1212m outside of recording usage.
