I know this sounds stupid, but how do i get an asio strip to playback my music on my emu-0404? All i can do is get the music to be played by the wave strip. Im using winamp, and i have the latest asio plugin for it as well. I set the asio plugin device to the emu-0404, but it still plays back in wave.

Suggestions?

Under the Winamp plugins you have to select the ASIO plugin as the output method and then configure the plugin to use the EMU card.

Works fine here for me.

Do this:
Winamp setup:
1/ Copy Asio DLL+EXE in c:\program files\winamp\plug-ins
2/ In winamp, under Preferences, goto Output, there select ASIO output plugin (exe or dll version whichever shows) and click Configure.
3/ Set the device to EMU ASIO, if you want to enable resampling do it here as well.

Once thats done, restart your computer, then make sure ASIO was added in the list in PatchMix. It should work that way.

Morphie, what other settings in Winamp(and patchmix if you feel like addressing it) should you enable for use with an emu0404? I'm setting up mine tomorrow so this thread is pretty relevant.
