Did you receive a confirmation email with the price at which you ordered the 0404 USB?

Seems to me that they are bound to sell it to you at the price at which the order was accepted.

yeah, the confirmation email says 139, but all subsequent emails about backorder and my account on the site says $149

I'd call the 800 number and ask, then--but unless they get your approval to sell it to you at a higher price, they have to sell at the original $139 price at which you placed and they accepted the order.

When I ordered, the web price showed $139. The email showed $149. I paid by PayPal. So PayPal paid them already. The amount was $139 + tax. The tax figure was never showed before on web, nor in email. And the tax was on $149, not $139.

yeah i did order towards the the end of January.I spoke to them over the phone, and was told that they "hope" to get a shipment this week but are unsure.Otherwise it will be early march i hope.

Yeah I got the same message. Screw this crap, I'm not waiting till May. Gonna cancel my order.

Edit: After calling customer service, I was told that the 0404 was actually in stock now. It was the free microphone that was holding the order up, and the representative placed that into a separate order, assuring me that I would receive the 0404 within 5 business days. I don't know how true this was, but at least it gives me hope.

Wow. I got the same email, called customer service, and they said they have the emu in stock, but they could not send the emu and the mic in two separate orders. I could get the emu now and no mic, or I could wait until May for the emu + mic. I told them that another customer was allowed to separate, but they said they could not split them into two orders. I asked whether they would give me a lower price for the emu without the mic, and they said no. So I cancelled. Bummer.

it seems like they replaced the free gift with an IK Multimedia SampleTank 2 SE Plug-in Sound Module program instead (also an $80 value). I guess if this can speed up orders, what the heck.

That's always been a "free gift" along with the mic... It's a pretty limited-use plug-in.

If they won't let you guys re-order without the mic, Music123 has the 0404 USB for $149.99 with free shipping. The deal isn't quite the same, but it's still less than most places. They had an automatic $25 rebate during the check-out process a little while ago, making the final price around $125. I'm not sure if the rebate is still going, but it couldn't hurt to find out...
