Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to see whether these are good budget DACs compared to others in its price range. I discovered that I might be interested in playing high rez 24/192 music, and these systems offer that either through usb interface.
I just want to know how their SQ compares to other competitors in a remotely similar price range. Anyone familiar with the styleaudio topaz/emerald DACs from CryoParts Cryo Treated Audio Parts for DIY, PS Audio, Oyaide, ATL, Furutech Receptacles and AC Plugs
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT:
I found the the zero dac is in the same price range (120$), and also offers 24/192. But I'm also wondering if hi-res is all I should be worrying about. I would think that emerald would beat zero hands down, even if it was against a recording at 24/192...but I could be wrong.
Here's a couple articles that seem to discount the benefits of high-res audio.
