Anyone actually have this done to his DAC1 or DAC1USB by Empirical Audio? Specifically the $700 headphone listening only mod option. That's a lot of money (at least for me) for a mod, but the concept is intriguing - one box ultimate solution. If anyone can opine as to their experience with this, please share your experience. thanks

I'm on the waiting list for this. I pulled the trigger based on my contentment with other work Steve has done for me. I think a couple of headfiers have this mod and said they like it a lot. Hope they chime in. It's a Turbo mod as applies to the headphones -- not just a headphoneout upgrade, so it seems like a good deal, at least in the EmpiricalAudio line-up. Nice to be able to get rid of an external amp and interconnects.
