Hi
EMI have launched a new series called "Great Artists Of The Century" basically its mid priced re-releases of some of their stuff. They are putting out a promo double CD containg a track from every one of the first 25 titles to be released. I picked one up in Virgin this week for £2.99 (or perhaps a little less I can't quite remember). Its essentially a sampler but it is nicely done complete with a booklet bound in the middle. Might make a good sampler for someone just getting into classical or perhaps if you are just curious about the CDs in this series. Track listing is:
Beethoven - String Quartet Op.18/6
Alban Berg Quartett
Rachmaninov - Piono Concerto No3
Lief Ove Andsnes
