The Divinus Velvet Eartips were suggested and I'm very happy with them.
which one do you use? Narrow bore or wide bore. I am using the Eletech Baroque tips they work perfectly for me(they have a wide bore design btw.

I'm delighted with my new Pilgrim. I was going to wait for the HiFiGo tour, but I had a very good feeling about this IEM, from its beautiful design to its inspiring name. A special occasion in my life gave me the last excuse I needed to buy it outright.
I have not had such a deeply satisfying musical experience from any other IEM before, so I'm putting together a portable system based on feedback I've read here and elsewhere with a Cayin RU7.

Would the Cayin be a good choice with the Pilgrim? Better options?

Elysian's website recommends the Effect Audio Cadmus 4W cable to complete the Pilgrim as originally conceived. Has anyone else tried this combination? Oh, and I don't care about cable controversies, whatsoever. I think the cable is simply gorgeous with its selenite fittings. The Cadmus pushes all my male jewelry buttons. I'll just think of it as a more functional tieHi Elvis,

Hello. As i write here time a go. Original Pilgrim cable i move away in 10 min of listening. This cable is not good for this IEM. I listening Pilgrim with Effect Audio Eros S 1st anniversary edition. This cable move Pilgrim in other level. Bass, detail and specially soundstage. I dont know why, but original cable move sound in your head. All sound like under the blanket with emphasis on high freq.

But Cadmus i try today first time. Sorry but i have only 8W version. 4W will be more adequate for Pilgrim. Why they not attach Cadmus 4W to Pilgrim? Not question for me. And i dont want speculate.

Cadmus with Pilgrim is amazing. More deep rumbly bass and still very well controled. Midds not screaming on you and more precise highs with details what know only Elysian. But mainly - with much much better soundstage. Everything is open and more around you. This combination can stay next to Noir without any objection. Something like the light and dark side of the force? Sorry. Joke. I only recommend last point. Try some tips roll. For me Symbio W mandarin are best. Less comfort than Divine Velvet, but sound best.

I mistakenly bought the narrow bore, unaware that a wide bore was available. The wide bores are now on order, but the narrow bores are so nice I will be surprised if the wide bores make much difference. Thanks for the Eletech suggestion. You can never have too many tips in this hobby!

Thanks for the detailed feedback, pasul! It is sincerely appreciated. That's a lovely family snapshot. Looks like I've got a Cadmus in my future.

oh don’t do this 🥲 I was about to send Pilgrim to the next person but now I’m thinking to hold it back and try it with upgraded cables or I think I’d just buy it soon

Sorry. I dont want ruine your plan. :joy: But this diferrence are easily audible. Even if switch cable need some time. Of course not like day/night, but its there. Next question will be what system do you listening. Iam on R2R DAC. Amp what iam using now is Ferrum Oor. Iam not testing Pilgrim on my Flux class A full balanced amp or tube Leben CS 300. This can change overall view of this IEM too. But i must say, I don't feel like I have to go asap back to Noir, Gaea or Annihilator.

3/5 from Super*Review

Make me wondering what's the tuning of the Pilgrim prototype in CanJam, probably more like a baby Anni?

Elysian had posted previously in this thread and confirmed there were no tuning changes.

I know, but according to many head-fiers who attended CanJam NYC, they found the difference is not insignificant. I know the short impression from show floor is unreliable but it is very likely that production units differed due to issues that are not the intention of Mr. Lee.

I’ve used the Pilgrim on various sources all the way from dongle dac to a pure class A desktop amp and while it does scale with power but it’s not much. The best pairing was with RME ADI 2 Pro.

I can also certainly say that Pilgrim OG can do better with cable rolling
