I heard mega5est have some unit variation. It might be due to that, the unit I heard had good amount of treble, this might be the reason behind me finding mega5est more detailed.
That’s just version iteration. I have the anniversary edition which is the latest version and latest tuning, but it’s understandable we all perceive “detail” a bit differently. Doesn’t make one right and the other wrong.

Do you think Mega5 est is totally worthy at the price it is available or would you pick any other set at this price?

This has been one of the most frustrating IEMs I've ever owned. At its spectacular best, this completely reset my expectations for audio. At its best it curb stomps every headphone and IEM in my collection. Tuning is almost perfect for my 59 year old ears. But....

I cannot get a secure fit, and I'm giving up for now. The 6mm nozzle can make an acceptable seal, but only if I remain perfectly stationary. I need a mobile system, but only the slightest movement will lose the seal, so I'm forever reseating the IEMs in my ears to get them sealed in my ears.

I've sunk enough time and money into tips. Time for a new IEM. Very disappointing.

Great, looking forward to your experience. I hope you'll listen to them on XD05Pro and write something about the combination
So many possible choices and I can't decide on the one .

If I manage to find one for audition, I’ll definitely post my impressions.

It surely is tough to get a secure fit on the Pilgrim. Which tips did you try? I saw a post where you mentioned the Divinus Velvet tips fit fine for you. You may also try the Azla SednaLight tips and see if they fit fine. The larger ear tips in Sedna Light fit really well, if nothing works for me.

Weirdly I've had zero issues with the stock tips or the shell shape, despite worrying that I'd be affected by both.

You’re not alone. I didn’t have any fit or seal issues either.

I think it justifies the price. But has some flaws. Bass quality can be better. There are iems that do bass better than this set like io volare. But as an all rounder nothing beats this set. It does everything well enough.
