I am still in the middle of spending more time with them, but for Pilgrim, it is one of the most tip-sensitive IEMs. Since received Noir, I put the tips from Pilgrim to Noir and started to look for another tip for Pilgrim. During the tip rolling process, majority of my tips do not work. In some cases, I felt like the tips gave me a full seal but the sub-bass is simply thin and weak, and I now temporarily settled with Tri Clarion.

Spoiler alert for my future review, I am reaching the same conclusion as almost everybody else: Noir is simply better, to my dismay though.

I have pretty small ears and very happy with the bundled Spinfits (size S), sub-bass is definitely there. Anyone else? Otherwise seems like most issues with the Pilgrim are due to tips.

Yes, and the fit for Pilgrim is also not easy to identify unlike most other IEMs, I can feel the fit is not good for some tips, but for Pilgrim, as I mentioned above, sometimes, I feel the fit is good but the bass was horrible and clearly the seal was not formed.
I use Eletech and I get a great fit.
I tried Eletech as well, again the fit felt okay, but the bass is weak compared to a true good fit. I had a simple test: if you push the Pilgrim further into your ear by hand the bass becomes significantly louder, then you don't have a true good fit.

Similarly, the Brass tips don't work, the bass is thin and light.

I mentioned this previously but I use a
keyboard o-ring on each nozzle before I put my usual favourites tips on - the whizzer ET100’s, and with the slight added length, they seal as well as any of my other iem’s.

Yes, I also remembered reading that, I will try it later, though I have to buy at least 100 o-ring, which is the minimal quantity from Amazon.

Have you tried the Divinus Velvet?

Yeah, I recall doing the same but 200 for me was like £5, which isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things

I've been trying a few different tips with the Pilgrim OG and i'd have to agree it's quite tip sensitive, both in terms of fit/comfortable and sound, more so than my other IEMs.

The stock M-sized Spinfit CP100s are comfy but it sometimes feels like the seal is not perfect. Tried the L-sized and they were too large. I think the core is too flexible and the eartip material too soft.

The Sedna Earfit Light sealed much better for me but not very comfy it was too stiff/thick. Could feel quite a bit of pressure when sticking them in my ears. Sound was pretty good though, more open and airy but bass wasn't tamed down too much.

I'm now on the M-sized Spinfit W1 and it seals a lot better than the CP100 for me. I think because the core is slightly stiffer and the eartips are kinda sticky in texture. Side by side, the W1 also appears to be slightly longer. It's the most comfortable eartips for me so far. Sound is very similar to the stock CP100.

I also have a pair of Eletechs coming in to do a comparison.

How fragile is the cable connection at the IEM end? Also, who makes aftermarket cables for these?

Hello. I dont have feeling with Pilgrim or Noir that pentacon connection are something high fragile. But true is, that 2 pin have better feeling.

About other cable with pentacon. All Effect audio cables are using Con X system. So here easy to change. Or any other cable and use reduction. For example 2pin to Pentacon.

The pilgrim is my first experience with Pentaconn connectors, but from what i hear they're more reliable than MMCX. I'm not overly happy that 2pin is the audio standard, as I find they get looser over time with removing and reconnecting them, which makes me hesitant to cable swap/roll. A better more secure connection than 2 pin is certainly welcome in my opinion.

Well, there is a simple trick. Use tweezers to bend them in the opposite direction , with a bit of heat applied (not too hot)
