Elysian Annihilator 2023

Pentaconn Coreir arrived today. On the recommendation of a friend. It lengthens Anni by a good bit, as they cannot be threaded all the way to the end. I'm afraid of fit after a long time, but we'll see. The sound is incredible. I gradually had about 10 tips on Anni and the last one was Omni for a longer time. Coreir are a completely different league. The sound is generally more accurate, but what will they do with the bass! It is much better, more accurate, more detailed, I really did not expect this! Anyone who has a problem with Anni's bass should try it ;)

Did you have to go a size smaller for the same fit?

One of the few iems, that can actually highlight the difference between Hugo 2 and Mojo 2 in my collection.
For Annihilator and the IE900, I would definitely upgrade to the Hugo 2. Better note definition in the Bass and mid-bass region, without getting shouty in the vocals.
Mojo 2 sounds smeary in comparison.
I had the OG Hugo and Mojo for 10 years and only recently upgraded to Hugo2/Mojo2 earlier this year. These are built to last, I would not worry about Hugo 3 and just pull the trigger for the going price in Classifieds.
Please lord deliver me from temptations :disappointed_relieved:

Recently acquired the Hugo 2 for the Anni and I’m glad to hear some of you rock the same rig! I was afraid it would be too sibilant combining an analytical IEM to an analytical source but it turned out to be a great synergy. It is very detailed and smooth with more power to the bass compared to Hugo 1.

The limitations of badly recorded electronic and rock/metal recordings become very noticeable though which makes them less pleasant to listen knowing how bad the compressed sound is in reality. Well recorded music is the complete opposite, hearing all the nuances and details leaves me listening to 24 bit classical and movie soundtracks music a lot more.

That's the issue with Hugo 2, you can't enjoy poorly recorded older music , that you would have normally enjoyed with Hugo 1. But remastered and newer tracks, just shine through. There's so much details in the treble region that Anni is able to capture, it's never shimmery or piercing.

I haven’t heard a better mobile rig + synergy, so you’re doing pretty great!!!

I just tried venom on Anni 23 and I highly recommend it over the stock martini. Improvement across the board. Martini sounds thinner overall in comparison. VS other cables that I've tried, venom is better st tightening and keeping Anni bass controlled. The other cables have made it even bloatier.

My RS8 is in the shop so it'll be a while before i review it in depth, but already on the R8II i got to make some comparisons cause i feel it's headphone territory right here, and that is no easy feat!

so i paired my Anni with a strong amp and damn what a difference, energy is on another lvl, so low frequencies who became more precise and tight
I think its more of the ESTs getting the power it needs and getting the full top end more so than the low end actually changing.

Anyhow, once I got past the mental barrier of high gain on my 1Z, Anni has been inseparable
