I am as well. I never use them. I was mostly just curious. Plus with 8w cables it can be a pain to use them
Haha, I don't either. No worries, I like to note for Head-Fi'ers who maybe new to brand and well you know the rest

I never use the sliders either, on anything i own... IEM/buds/headphones. i find it funny to see it as a negative on some reviews that some cables do not come with a slider lol... it's like they are searching for something to put in the negative spot.Haha, I don't either. Just note that splitter slides loosely along the IEM wires – this is for all ET 4-wires and the Project 8 wires are too thick. The slider stay in place when you cinch it to where you want it but then slide back down when you take your IEMs out.
@Eric Chong is allergic to splitters

Would it help if the slider doesn't slide, but rather clicks "open" to move it freely and then can be pressed closed again? I assume the problems come from the slider 'sliding' over the cable with some resistance. A slider that can be loosened easily might reduce the strain on the cable. Just a thought. With Sliders, we've had from past experience , sliders causing the IEM cable being constantly bent at an unnatural angle. Through time, this causes an onset of issues such as interior cable breakage (which is not easily noticed until channel imbalance occurs - fixing this is not possible besides snipping it off or changing an entire set of cable) and raises our overall RMA rates by at least 15%. Hence from Eletech's first product, we've chosen to omit the slider and only have it as an optional attachment for users who really do have the need for it.
I've also noted that the Pentaconn X ET Slider is not 100% ideal - We've not stopped looking into designing one though, due to the constant requests - we may look into having one made for our next release forth

Its not so much of during the process of sliding up and down. But when it’s performing the function of a ‘cinch’ where cables are bent unnaturally at an angle. Multiple times of doing that is bound to have strands breakage.Would it help if the slider doesn't slide, but rather clicks "open" to move it freely and then can be pressed closed again? Thank you @Eric Chong for the detailed explanation exactly what I was looking for when new posts as to why no sliders.
Going to bookmark this if this question comes up again in the future.

What do you have paired with the Raphael? I find Raphael replacing my Socrates is most use case. Very good value for a virtue line of cable
