I don't know much about these but they weren't made by Stax or Numark. My guess is that they were wither made by Napolex, Fontec or some other obscure Japanese brand. This is fine for up to 80$ but if you want something good, buy a Stax SR-3.

The adapter looks somewhat Staxish, but phones definitely don't. I never haven't seen anything like this before. I'm very curious how they might sound like.

I can guarantee you they wont sound as nice as the SR-5 that you just sold me. The SR-5 sound much better than I expected - I dare say better than the Gamma Pro I bought from Spritzer. I haven't tried the SRD6 yet.
