What tone/frequency/noise is used when you're measuring the efficiency/SPL on headphones?

I cencerley hope all brands are using the same tone/noise, it would be kind of pointless otherwise? I've heard they usually use the pink or the white noise for testing this on speakers. Is the same used for headphones?

IIRC a lot of folks use a 1000 hertz tone to measure efficiency...

Yeah, I've heard that too, but wouldn't that be kind of dumb since no headphones present frequencys the exact same?
