Cadmus Founder’s Edition is Suyang’s passion project. It is created through months of endless research and experimenting with combinations of precious metals to create a special mix of founders blend while using Cadmus as a foundation.

#2 – Custom Founder’s Blend

Crafted from the finest materials, Cadmus Founder’s Edition includes special founders blend of a geometrically different Silver Plated Copper (SPC) and special Gold-Plated Copper. The unique blend of Silver Plated Copper is mixed for a more substantial mid-range body while the Gold Plated Copper is added to elevate its resolution and widen the soundstage, achieving an enhanced Cadmus.

#3 – Limited Edition and Increased Quantity

We understand that many of our supporters did not get a chance to experience the Ares S founder’s edition. We heard you! This time, we will be launching 100 limited Cadmus Founder’s Edition featuring a special Y split signed by Suyang. This limited but increased quantity is to allow more of our fans to own and have a chance to experience the Cadmus Founder’s Edition.

I loved the Cadmus, but with such a huge price difference and a change in materials and construction, why use the Cadmus name at all for this product? I don't really see how these two cables are very closely related.

Today I ordered myself a Cadmus W8 with MMCX connectors. I'm sure, I'll be delighted. by the way, it came out cheaper than the official price of 315$, I got it for 262$ and free shipping to Russia.
but this cable for 1000$ is already too much. although of course there will be people for whom this is normal.

Awesome looking cable, how does the gold effect the sound quality? Going be keeping an eye on this one.

Gold makes the soundstage appear larger. Think listening from a small church hall to a large cathedral. The best Effect Audio cable for this soundstage enhancement is the Chiron and Centurion. Gold on the copper also enhances the organic tonality of copper while Gold on silver still keeps the silver transient speed at in my experience

P.S. On a different cable geometry and different copper material, gold does not necessarily increase the soundstage width, but rather increase the instrument presence in the space due to better depth perception (i.e. like listening on a larger speaker against a smaller bookshelf speaker sensation even though the soundstage width didn't increase)

I wonder if you have owned Centurion, it’s not as You describe it. It doesn’t increase sound stage. It’s exactly same as Cadmus in terms of soundstage. It pushes clarity to max without harshness, it increases speed vastly. It adds bass but not on all iems (dd/hybrid/ba).
Personally I find Centurion ridiculously overpriced. Crystal Cables Duet/Double Duet cost much less but provide similar performance.
And I personally enjoy Cadmus S with great pleasure, but its price is ~200$.
