Hello all,
I’m a previous member, back from a 10 year hiatus from the forum (decided to utilize a new username.) I’ve been using a Fiio Q5 paired with an iPhone 6 for a few months, but have a desire to possibly consolidate by getting a combination digital audio player/DAC/amp. Massdrop has a good deal on the Echobox Explorer ending tonight, and I’m wondering how the sound might compare to my existing setup with the Q5. I would only purchase the Explorer if the sound quality would be as good or better than the Q5. I would be using Shure 535’s. If anyone has experience with both or is familiar enough with both units to comment, I would be grateful! Thanks!
