I have no idea if they are damaged, but the bass is just horrible. Seriously when I went to the meet, off of any source, ipod, very very nice CDP's just horrible.

However when I EQ it a few db, its much much better. I still thought the koss 35's sounded much better.

I had a good seal, but I do not have any other tips for it. I am really thinking about selling these. I would like anyone opinions, if they had a similar experience.

E3c were my first step into quality IEMs. They're alright, but their bass isn't too strong and my biggest issue is the rolled off treble. They are so comfortable, small, and light though.

I kept mine for a couple of years. They served me well until the post broke (due to some misuse). Then I joined Head-Fi.

It's not distorted at all, it's just not very strong. I think they sound great with guitar/vocals but it lacks in drums and bass.

Be honest, more distorted. Once it was i eq it, it was weak. I rather have weak bass then distorted boomy bass any day.

The bass on my E3c didn't get distorted with no EQ, but with the iPod EQ there was some clipping. That is on iPod's end, though.
