eBay Sellers and Warranty Coverage

Tried searching but couldn't find any answers.

For those who have purchased their headphones (new) from an eBay seller, do the manufacturers still cover them under their standard warranty? There's the packing invoice and Paypal receipt, but that isn't much proof to say that you bought them new.

And if anyone has any specific info on how Sennheiser handles this, that'd be great.

I think it'll vary by manufacturer. Senn for sure doesn't ask for any proof I bought a pair of hd600's off a member here and had to have them sent in for repair. Senn fixed them for free no questions asked.
