Reading my favorite technology blog, I found this article and felt like it would be useful to headfi. Hope this helps for those trying to explain what digital audio is to younger people or those who have no clue what a file format is, etc.

This was a good read. I would assume most of us here understand most of the basics, but it had some details that I wasn't aware of.
