Good afternoon,
It am in a bit of a conundrum.
I have a pair of sm64 and a sm3. Both pairs have come cosmetic issues and therefore I decided to have my sm64 remold ed through inearz. I sent them both pairs in case there was an issue with one of them. However, I received a call from inearz wherein they informed me that one driver in the sm64 was blown and another in my sm3 has in the same situation. Therefore, they told me that a technician will take a look and see if they can replace the blown sm64 driver with the sm3 and update the circuit. I am still waiting for a call from the technician however, as an inpatient fella, I decided to post in this board and see if anyone can tell me if that is possible!
Are the drivers in both headphones interchangeable? Is the main difference between the two more so the circuits/crossover rather than the driver?
I am just worries that the proposed plan is just not feasible! If anyone has any opinions or knowledge on this, I would very much appreciate it!
Also, if anyone has any ciem that they can sell at a cheap price, I would be very grateful!!!!!!
Thanks everyone!
