Visiting the iPod Lounge today, I came upon a laudatory review of the
Future Sonics Ears Model EM3. Since the reviewer didn't mention the ER4 and no one here has ever mentioned the EM3, I'm wondering if there's any point to seeking out more information, since the ER4 fulfills the need for this kind of earphone. The only apparent advantages are the price point and shorter cord (unless the EM3 is really a clone of the ER6).

Still, I'm not certain reviews on the iPod Lounge site should be taken seriously. Another Lounge reviewer raved about the EX70.

I'm sure they're nothing like them, but they do resemble "The Plug" by Koss...

For $179, they'd better do more than resemble the Plug.

I do suspect that the EM3 is meant to compete with the ER-4 or -6. Note the price, custom earmold option and similarity in model numbers.

Ha ! I hope they don't sound like them...

Yeah, at that price point I'd hope there's something to them. Looks like they're right up inbetween the 4's & 6's, pricewise. They don't divulge much info about them though...
