Hi,
I just got an Ipod and I am looking for better earphones. They should be comfortable without falling out easily. The MX-500's seem to be a good choice but I just wanted to know if they are better than apple's native in-ear phones.

My budget is about 50$ so perhaps there are some better solutions out there.

MX500 is definitely a step up. If you're not adverse to moving from earbuds to clipons, the Koss KSC35s should really be looked at though.

I thought that the Apple earbuds were too big for my ears when I had them. The Senns fit better, but it's still not a perfect fit of course. I definitely prefer the mx500s to the Apple ones.

if you can find both mx500 and mx550, give them both a try and see which one you like. IMO, they have very different sound signature.

i got my friend a mx500 for xmas, initially, he said they sound the same, but i told him to burn-in,
after couple of days, he thanked me for the mx500, saying that the bass is so much better, and the quality of the sound beats the stock apple anytime. he has a big head, so the size of mx500 isn't a problem for his ears.
