[Mosquito Control]

Hey dudes. My buddy is looking for a new pair of earbuds (not canal phones) for work listening. His price range is up to $50.

So far he has been looking at these guys: Buy.com - Computers, Electronics, Digital Cameras, Books, DVDs, Music, Games, Software, Toys, Sports

The Sennheiser Street II MX65.

Anyone have any experience with these or recommendations on a good pair in this price range.

I recently got my pair of Sennheiser MX760s ($20) and they are great . Yuin PK3s ($39) are great, too. Less accurate but more fun than the Sennheisers.

+1 on the Senn MX760. They are slightly bigger than the PK3 or Sony MDR-828/829 earbuds (but my ears are smallish), but they have very satisfying sound. Could be a little more forward, as their soundstage seems a bit exaggerated -- very good SQ and channel/image separation.

Leaning towards the Yuin PK3s.

Question is, he will be using them with a 1st generation iphone. Does anybody know if they will fit into its recessed 1/8" jack?

How about the MX760s, would those fit?

PK3s should fit fine IIRC. The MX760s might not because the extension has a rather fat right-angle plug.
