I have the Audio Technica ATH LS70iS, and it has a SUPER heavy bass, which really suits my basshead tastes. But it bleeds into the mids quite a bit, which makes everything really muddy and congested sounding. It doesn't help that the mids are pretty forward and full and not very recessed at all.

Can anyone recommend a pair of silicone or hybrid ear tips that would widen soundstage, give everything more room to breathe, and allow more transparency without sacrificing any bass? (Correct me if I'm wrong - I've heard foam tips tend to increase bass and make the sound duller, which is not what I want.)

At that price point, tips most likely will not help too much. The best tips to improve soundstage and minimize the muddiness are wide bore silicon tips (Try spinfits?), but if you really want to remove muddiness, you're probably looking at the $200-$300 IEM range

Thanks for the recommendations! I might get both spinfits and Comply tips to see if they make a difference.

Funny thing is, my old IEM was around $30 and it had bass almost on par with the LS70 and an even better soundstage. Though I guess mids and highs were quite thin to make up for that
