I am well endowed in the ear area. I had some edition XS and the size of the ear cups were great.
I have since been trying to find similar comfort in some higher end headphones. I have tried to move away from Hifiman due to some quality concerns.
What other brands or models would you recommend for the fellow elephant ears out there?

AKG's have a large diameter. I have an older K702 I like in sound but the cups are too large for me causing some gaps.

Like Noire X? It looks like the E3 are pretty big.
Yeah--I've never done a side by side on them vs. the Hifiman egg shape, but they're pretty large.

The Audio-Technica ATH-AD1000X is my favorite for large ear sizes, factory pads were just $22 last time from the parts department. Best female vocals since they're tuned in Japan, where a lot of popular music is in that range. Big soundstage for gaming too, great dual purpose, not just music. I have another pair coming tomorrow and can't wait. Also they can be powered by shining a flashlight on them, an Apple 3.5mm adapter is all they need.

Are all Audio Technicas made in Japan?

The pricey ones are, I think, but lower models are made in countries like China and Taiwan.

I have the ATH-M50s and the factory pads were very uncomfortable, but I got an $8 pair of foam replacement pads on Ebay and they're huge and very comfortable.
