Any MacMini users running Windows XP as well via Bootcamp? XP runs great on the MacMini core duo, so I set up EAC to rip in secure mode to FLAC. However, the rip time estimates are inordinately long, like 60 minute+. yikes.

On my X60 PC core duo laptop, it would take 7-10 minutes per CD. Maybe I'll try to reload EAC step by step, but just curious if anyone experienced this on MacMini?

A few follow up questions:
* The ripping times you mention are for the exact same audio CD, right?
* EAC is set up identical on both machines, right?

Cause the condition of the CD and the settings of the application you use to rip it have great influence on the resulting rip time. Ex. a scratched CD is harder to read than a mint one, and if the application check for errors it will take longer than than "Burst" mode.
If these two are identical, then your CD drive is to blame. They are probably not identical (different vendor, model) and don't handle audio CD's equally..
